My name is Nguyet Torres. I am happiest working with young children. I love their energy and am amazed by watching them learn and grow daily. I have always dreamed of designing a program where children can blossom and grow.
I have carefully designed a creative environment where children are free to explore and learn in a fun manner. We have an amazing environment, full of natural light indoors and a great outdoor space.
Children can access various books, art materials, blocks, musical instruments, dramatic play props, and more throughout the day! I encourage children to participate in activities that help improve their self-esteem and help them develop a range of interests and a curiosity to continue learning. Each child that joins my program starts at a different stage of development. With my years of experience and formal education in early childhood development, I am able to custom-tailor my program to build upon their current development and guide them through these next stages. Our program offers children plenty of opportunities to develop and strengthen their physical, social, linguistic, and cognitive abilities!
I am also very passionate about cooking healthy foods.
Through well-planned meals and engaging activities, I help children develop the habit of eating a healthy diet, which will help them live healthier lives and have a happier minds.
My training in early education came from working at other family childcare facilities in San Francisco for the past 5 years. During my time, I found that I was a natural early childhood educator, and children loved to interact with me and were drawn to my teaching style. My academic training has only improved my understanding of working expertly with a range of learners.
My Philosophy
My program's philosophy is to provide children with a loving, nurturing, safe, fun, and healthy environment.
I treat the children with respect and dignity. I think that the most valuable aspects of Early Childhood Care and Education are their Physical, Mental, and Social Learning Environment. I encourage the children to participate in activities that help improve their self-esteem. I choose to work with young children because each child who joins my program starts at a different stage of development. My goal is to guide them through these stages and build upon them.
